Shallotte Family Dentistry at 4704 Main Street, Shallotte, North Carolina.

Honestly, if I could give this office a zero star review, I would. The woman at the front desk acted as if it were a burden to check me in... I interrupted her conversation with the other staff about what she was going to dress up as for Halloween. The wait wasn't very long to be seen, I had made an appointment. In the exam room the dental assistant seemed a little spaced out and kept complaing about being too hot. I told her 3 times that the x-ray equipment she kept trying to put in my mouth was too large and I could not bite down on it properly. She begrudgingly found a smaller piece, and finished the x-ray process. Later on when the dentist asked if she had done the x-rays she told him she had not because I would not keep it in my mouth, saying that I have a strong gag reflex. I don't have a strong gag reflex and I didn't tell her I did. She said "I didn't want her throwing up everywhere." When the dentist found out that I decent health care he kept pushing for me to have root canals after I had told him several times already that I do NOT want root canals. After that I was talked to as if I were a child. He said I had a few cavities, but wouldn't tell me how many. He had to keep telling the dental assistant to uncheck a box on the computer screen, due to what ever she kept checking was illegal. The rest of my time there both of them had a condescending tone whenever they spoke to me. I DO NOT recommend this office. I prefer an office with at least decent bedside manners.
